I ran it, and I can't say I'd want it to have happened any other way. I'm proud of the time I accomplished for my first race, despite some ridiculously windy race conditions. The people and friends who gave me advice, help, and support along the way deserve the medal as much as I. I don't know exactly when I will run my next race, but I know that it will inform my future. If I can skydive and run 26.2 miles...
Feeling "Alive Inside"
In Alive Inside, Dan Cohen discovers the life buried within them through music and fights to get that music to individuals within our nation's nursing home system. Whether or not you have any past or present experience with nursing homes, Alzheimer patients, or the elderly in general, this film provides an understanding of humanity and our need for a door to our memories and loved ones.
Ode to the New York Strangers
A film audition for Funny the Movie rounded out my day, and the warm, inviting atmosphere of what must have been a very long day for those involved caused me to stop and consider the beautifully human and often generous side of the entertainment industry... Stereotypes about the entertainment industry and NYC would have us turn our tails and run if we ever dared to listen for too long. Honestly, acting is about connecting, and the city is an incredible place in which to do it.

Counting Each Moment
Yesterday in Los Angeles, a wonderful tenor I know from my work as a singer in Philadelphia suffered a heart attack... My heart goes out to each of Jeff Dinsmore's dear friends and colleagues who watched as he passed while working, doing something he loved... My words are but air compared to the life led and now cut short while preparing to premiere a new work to the world. May we all honor the lives now lost by living ours each day.
